An out-and-back through City Park and downtown. Every finisher gets a medal. Overall winners get a plaque.

Thursday, November 26, 2026. We start at 9:00 AM at 12th & Moro in Aggieville, take you around City Park, and send you down Poyntz. Then you go eat.

Before you feast, join us for a 5K through the streets of Manhattan. 2026 is our 11th year. We hope you’ll be here with upwards of 1,500 friends, then go eat with your family. It has become the way a lot of us start Thanksgiving.
Chasing a fast one? We bill this as the fastest 5K in Kansas. Joe Moore’s 14:16 from 2016 is still the course record. Costumes are always welcome.
Manhattan Running Company and Red Dirt Race Management put on the race. Central National Bank is the title sponsor. Proceeds benefit the Flint Hills Breadbasket.
